Sizing & Fit

How do your sizes run?

Many of our styles are cut as a premium slim, waisted fit. If you prefer a more relaxed feel, we suggest sizing up. Tops are generally offered in XS–L (and numeric sizes such as 34–42 for tailored blouses); men's trousers follow continental sizing (46–52).

How do I find my size?

Each product page lists the available sizes and an individual size guide. If you're between sizes or unsure, email us at service@yvora.net with your measurements and we'll recommend the best fit.

Our Fabrics

What is mercerized cotton, and how is it different from ordinary cotton?

Mercerization is a finishing process in which cotton yarn is treated under tension with a controlled solution. This swells the fibre, giving it a smooth, rounded surface. Compared with ordinary cotton, mercerized cotton has a soft sheen rather than a matte look, takes dye more deeply for richer, longer-lasting colour, is stronger and more resistant to pilling, and holds its shape better through repeated washing. The result is a refined, silk-like hand-feel that still breathes like cotton — which is why we use it for our premium T-shirts.

How should I care for silk?

Silk is a natural protein fibre prized for its lustre, lightness and temperature regulation — cool in summer and warm in cooler weather. To keep it at its best, hand-wash in cool water with a gentle, pH-neutral detergent or dry-clean; avoid wringing, bleach and direct sunlight when drying; and iron on a low setting on the reverse while slightly damp.

How should I care for wool?

Wool is naturally insulating, breathable and odour-resistant, so it needs washing less often than you might expect — airing a garment between wears is often enough. When washing is needed, hand-wash or use a wool/delicate cycle in cool water with a wool-safe detergent, then reshape and dry flat to avoid stretching. Never tumble-dry wool, as heat and agitation can cause it to felt and shrink. Store knitwear folded rather than hung.

How should I care for cashmere?

Cashmere is an exceptionally fine, soft wool valued for its warmth-to-weight ratio. Hand-wash gently in cool water with a cashmere or wool detergent, or dry-clean; press out water without wringing, then dry flat in shape. A small amount of pilling is normal with fine cashmere in the first few wears and can be gently removed with a cashmere comb. Fold to store, and keep it protected from moths during warmer months.

Why do natural fibres sometimes feel or look slightly different between pieces?

Silk, wool and cashmere are natural fibres, so subtle variations in texture, weight and colour are normal and are part of the character of high-quality natural materials rather than a defect.
